rss feeds

what can RSS do for you?

RSS is an easy way to keep updated automatically on the websites you like. Instead of having to visit sites to see if they've published a new article or feature, you can use RSS (Really Simple Syndication) to get them to tell you every time they have something new.

To achieve this, you need to download a program called a 'news reader'. This displays RSS information feeds from your chosen websites on your computer. (Please note, this is not the same as a news reader for Usenet newsgroups.)

aka.tv offers several RSS feeds for use in news readers and Weblogs (blogs). These feeds include headlines, summaries and links back to aka.tv for the full article. All feeds are RSS 0.91 compliant.

if you already have an RSS news reader...

If you already have a news reader, to subscribe to an aka.tv RSS feed just select one from the list below. A window will appear containing code, copy and paste the url into your reader, and then you're subscribed.

To subscribe to more than one feed, simply repeat the process.

if you are new to RSS...

There are a number of ways to access RSS feeds. You can install a news reader that displays RSS feeds from the websites you select, enabling you to view hundreds at once.

After installing the news reader, you can add each aka.tv feed manually from the website by selecting aka.tv RSS feed from the left-hand menu on every page, then clicking on the orange 'RSS' button next to the feed's name.

Alternatively, you can use a Web-based news reader. For example, My Yahoo! users can now add RSS feeds directly to their personal page.
